The station started its regular shortwave broadcasts on November 4, 1974. The transmitters power is 250kW and 100kW. 7-7 single-band HRRS 4/4/1 single-antenna flat antennas operate in the north-western and south-western antenna branches to irradiate long-range targets, and 7-7 single-antenna HRRS 4/4/1 flat antennas in the eastern and south-western antenna branches. single-band HRR 2/2 / 0.25 type flat antennas operate. At the end of the north-western and south-western antenna lines, a TRO 4/1/0.25 type short-range (omnidirectional) antenna system operates on the 4 and 6 MHz broadcasting bands, respectively, which cover the Carpathian Basin and partly Central Europe. In connection with the decommissioning of the Székesfehérvár transmitter station, it was decided that the 2 100 kW BBC shortwave transmitters operating there and the one HQ 1/0.3 type dual-band (6 and 7 MHz) omnidirectional antenna system, which came into operation in 1987, and the modern Thomcast TH LPD 18 rotatable and tiltable shortwave log-per antenna system, commissioned in September 1995, will be relocated to the Jászberény transmitter station.
