עברית: איסדוד (בערבית: إسدود) הייתה עיירה ערבית במישור החוף הדרומי שהתהוותה במהלך המאה ה-7 בסמוך לתל אשדוד, עם הכיבוש הערבי של ארץ ישראל. איסדוד הייתה שייכת לנפת עזה במחוז עזה של פלשתינה (א"י). על פי סקר הכפרים שנערך ב־1945, שטחי אדמותיה עמדו על 47,871 דונם, חלקם בבעלות יהודית, והאוכלוסייה שלה מנתה 4,910 נפש. במהלך מלחמת העצמאות התרוקנה העיירה מתושביה ואחר כך נהרסה. חורבות העיירה נמצאות בסמוך לצומת אמונים שעל כביש 4 ודרומית לאזור תעשייה עד הלום, כשלושה קילומטרים מדרום־מזרח לעיר המודרנית אשדוד.
English: Isdud (in Arabic: إسدود) was an Arab village in the southern coastal plain that developed in the 7th century near Tel Ashdod, with the Arab conquest of the Land of Israel. Isdud belonged to the Gaza Subdistrict in the Gaza District of the Mandatory Palestine. According to the village survey conducted in 1945, its land area was 47,871 dunams, some of which was Jewish-owned, and its population numbered 4,910 people. During the War of Independence, the town was emptied of its inhabitants and later destroyed. The ruins of the town are located near the Emunim Junction on Highway 4 and south of the Ad Halom, about three kilometers southeast of the modern city of Ashdod.
