English: Intombi (also: Ndomba, Zulu for a small stream) was a neutral camp established 4 miles south-east of Ladysmith, after negotiations between the British and the Boers. The Ladysmith Town Hall was unsafe, and an armistice was granted until midnight on 5 November 1899 for sick and wounded, as well as some non-combatants, women and children, to be transferred to Intombi.[1][2]
