Sports Photographs from the Archives of Ontario.

A collection of photographs depicting the sporting culture of the Province of Ontario between 1894-1973 as reflected in the holdings of the Archives of Ontario. Subjects include track and field, outdoor team sports, indoor sports and winter sports as well as notable sportspeople and sports officials.

The collection includes photographs already hosted on the Archives of Ontario GLAM wiki page as well as new uploads from the Archives' digitized image library.

The collection documents sporting activity throughout the province, although most are from Toronto, Ontario. It features photographs taken by private individuals and organizations whose records were donated to the Archives as well as those captured by government photographers as part of the regular activity of various ministries, including the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and the Ontario Ministry of Education.
