English: Hesperus was an iron-hulled, three-masted, full-rigged ship built in 1873 by Robert Steele & Co, Greenock. Dimensions: 262'2"×39'7"×23'5". Tonnages: 1,859 GRT, 1,777 NRT and 1,574 tons under deck. Equipped with two decks and the forecastle was 40' long and the poop 74'. Sister ship to the same owner's [?] ship Aurora. Originally rigged with skysails. Scrapped at Genoa in 1924.[1][2][3]
