Schefflera actinophylla, the umbrella tree, grows along Downfall Creek and in forest remnants sheltered from fire in 7th Brigade Park. Schefflera actinophylla can establish in the soil or as an epiphyte. Potentially it is a strangler. A common tree in local gardens, its fruit are widely dispersed by frugivorous birds and bats. It is potentially invasive in areas that are not subject to burning.
