The Hamilton Radial Railway ran from Hamilton to Oakville. The Mimico streetcar, which ran from Toronto, along what is currently the TTC's 501 Queen line was to run from Toronto to Oakville to meet this line, providing an interurban service from Toronto to Hamilton. However, the Mimico line was only extended as far as Port Credit.
