English: The Hagia Sophia (Greek: Holy Wisdom) is a former patriarchal basilica, later a mosque, now a museum, in Istanbul, Turkey. Famous in particular for its massive dome, it is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture and one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. It was the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years, until the completion of the medieval Seville Cathedral in 1520.
Español: Santa Sofía o Hagia Sophia (del griego: Άγια Σοφία, «Santa Sabiduría»; en latín: Sancta Sophia o Sancta Sapientia; en turco: Ayasofya) fue una antigua basílica patriarcal ortodoxa (537-1204, 1261-1453), catedral católica de rito latino (1204-1261), posteriormente convertida en mezquita (1453-1931). Desde 1935 es un museo, en Estambul, Turquía.
Türkçe: Ayasofya, Bizans İmparatoru I. Jüstinyen tarafından MS 532-537 yılları arasında İstanbul'un eski şehir merkezine katedral olarak inşa ettirilen ve günümüzde cami olarak hizmet veren tarihi mabet. 1500 yıllık tarihi olan Ayasofya, sanat tarihi ve mimarlık dünyasının başyapıtları arasında yer alır. Osmanlı döneminde camiye çevrilmiş, barındırdığı sanatsal ve kültürel miras sebebiyle 1935'te müze olarak hizmete açılmış, 1936'da tapuya resmen "Ayasofyayı Kebir Camii Şerifi" adıyla kaydedilmiş, 1991'de bir bölümü ibadete açılmış ve 2020'deki Danıştay kararıyla tekrar bütünüyle cami olarak "Ayasofya-i Kebîr Câmi-i Şerîfi" adıyla kullanıma sunulmuştur.
Ελληνικά: Η Αγία Σοφία (επίσης Αγια-Σοφιά), Ιερός Ναός της του Θεού Σοφίας, της Κωνσταντινούπολης είναι ένας πρώην Ορθόδοξος ναός, κατά πολλούς ο σημαντικότερος όλων των εποχών και τόπων και μέγα αριστούργημα της χριστιανικής αρχιτεκτονικής. Μετά την πτώση της Βυζαντινής Αυτοκρατορίας ο ναός μετατράπηκε αρχικά σε Μουσουλμανικό τέμενος, ενώ σήμερα είναι μουσείο και χώρος πολιτιστικών εκδηλώσεων. Η Αγία Σοφία θεωρείται σήμερα ένα από τα σημαντικότερα μνημεία της παγκόσμιας κληρονομιάς και θαύμα της αρχιτεκτονικής. Στα Τουρκικά προφέρεται κατά την ελληνική δημώδη ονομασία της Ayasofya (Τζαμισί).
فارسی : ایاصوفیه یا حاجیاسوفیا کلیسای مسیحیت شرق بود که در دوره امپراتوری بیزانس به سال ۵۳۲ میلادی بنا به دستور امپراتور کنستانتین اول ساخته شد.
