- Built at Peterson Builders, Sturgeon Bay WI. Peterson Builders was founded in 1933 and built sub chasers during WWII. It built an astonishing number and variety of small naval vessels, but closed in 1998 when its owners decided that the site would be more valuable if converted for residential use.
