Het Groethof, ook Groothof, is een voormalig landgoed in Venlo aan de Groethofstraat uit de 15e eeuw, waarvan de laatste gebouwen rond 1960 zijn afgebroken. Dit landgoed is vernoemd naar de plant genaamde Groet of Gruyt, die werd gebruikt om bier te conserveren. In begin 19e eeuw was de bebouwing van het landgoed nog ten noorden en ten zuiden van de Groethofweg. Rond 1960 stonden er nog drie gebouwen, een poortgebouw langs de weg, een hoeve ernaast en een lagere schuur erachter. (bron: Venloclopedie (1992;p.53); Stedenatlas Venlo (1999;13);[1];[2])
