"GIBSON made the J-160 E JOHN LENNON COLLECTION SET between 1998 and 2002. It was a set of three John Lennon J-160E acoustics - each marking a different period in Lennon's career.
1. The first was the Fab Four Model with stock sunburst finish like the one Lennon bought new in Liverpool in 1962.
2. The second is the '1967 Magical MysteryTour model, with a psychedelic blue and purple paint finish.
3. Finally the Bed-In Model: when Lennon had the psychedelic finish stripped off and doodled caractures [caricatures] of himself and Yoko on the front for the Bed-In event.
Made in the Gibson Montana Custom Shop the production was intended to be limited to 47 sets and may have been less, with the custom paint jobs and doodles done by Ren Ferguson. "
