English: Garthpool was a steel-hulled four-masted barque built in 1891 by W.B. Thompson & Co, Dundee as Juteopolis for Charles Barrie, Dundee. Dimensions 310 × 45 × 25.1 ft (94.4 × 13.7 × 7.6 m). Tonnages 2,842 GRT and 2,652 NRT. Rigged with nothing over double topgallant sails. 1928 wrecked at Boavista, Cape Verde Islands[1]. 1929.11.11 stranded on East Sand Head, Ponta Reef, Boavista Island, Cape Verde.[2][3]
