English: The Gansevoort Peninsula is a small section of land on the northwest corner of Gansevoort Street and the West Side Highway in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan in New York City. Pier 53 (FDNY Marine Company 1/Three Forty Three), Bloomfield Street, and the only remaining alignment of 13th Avenue are located here. Pier 52 and the second location of the West Washington Market were formerly here. When the market was on this site, there were streets in the market named Grace Avenue, Thompson Avenue, Hewitt Avenue, Low Avenue, and Lawton Avenue.
