English: The BATRAL ("Light ferry ship") Francis Garnier (L9031) is the second of a series of five vessels. She was launched on 17 November 1973 and commissioned on 24 October 1974. She is the fifth vessel of the French Navy named in honour of the officer and explorer Francis Garnier.
Français : Le Francis Garnier est un bâtiment de transport léger français de la Marine nationale, mis en chantier en 1973 et admis au service actif en juin 1974. Basé a Fort de France, il porte le numéro de coque L 9031. Il fut baptisé du nom de l'officier de marine Francis Garnier.
