English: The iron-hulled ship Fortuna, formerly Ems, 1,829 GRT, 1,721 NRT. Ems was a steel-hulled ship of 1,829 GRT, 270.7 x 39.0 x 22.5. Built 1893 (5) by C. Connell and Co. Glasgow. Owners J Nourse, registered London, sold 1909 to Norwegian whaling interests (A/S Tønsbergs Hvalfangeri) and converted to floating whaling factory. In 1912 sold to Acties Rollo (Lars Klaveness, Sandefjord). In 1916 sold to Cia. Argentina de Pesca S.A., converted to transport ship and renamed Fortuna. Under this name wrecked in October 1927, being abandoned off the Irish coast in a gale.
