English: The former Shawmut Congregational Church at 640 Tremont Street at the corner of West Brookline Street in the South End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, was built in 1864, but was destroyed by fire in 1978. It was purchased by Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción, which redeveloped the property into affordable condominiums and street level retail space, under the name "Taino Towers". In 1991, the first units went on sale. (Source: Digital Commonwealth)
