English: Flying High Bird Sanctuary is situated on Bruce Highway, Corner Old Creek Road, Apple Tree Creek, Queensland, Australia. The Sanctuary's main aviary is nearly two acres in area reaching a height of 7 metres and houses a wide range of birds. It is estimated that there is over 3000 birds in the main aviary. There is several smaller aviaries located on the property that house birds that are incompatible with the material of the main aviary. David and Anne Tocknell along with Matt and Leisa Tocknell took ownership from John Woodall on the 19th of March 2010. The new owners will undertake plans to expand the Sanctuary in 2011. The Tocknells changed the name from Flying High Bird Habitat to Flying High Bird Sanctuary to better reflect the work they will be carrying out in the future. (Official website).
