English: Flores is a neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The town was established in 1790 by Ramón Flores and his friend Antonio Millán. The town was known as the lands of Flores. In 1806 the town adopted the "San José de Flores" name, and the partido was established in 1810.
The "Partido de San José de Flores" remained as an independent partido (or department) within the Buenos Aires Province, until September 1887 when the province transferred it (along with the Belgrano Partido) to the city of Buenos Aires. – source: GCBA
