The Fisherman Statue on the Grey River Levee, Greymouth, West Coast, New Zealand. Dedicated "To those who help others", it was carved by James Newby to commemorate the collective attempt to save the town from flooding with a sandbag wall in 1988. Shortly afterwards the Grey River Flood Protection wall was built.
