This category contains files of conversations between Rajneeshpuram mayor Swami Krishna Deva (David Berry Knapp) and John Mathis, a mediator with the federal Community Relations Service; that were recorded by the FBI in the fall of 1984. In these phone intercepts, the mayor requests of Mathis to provide details about a secret federal investigation. The "Geraldine" referred to in these tapes is Geraldine Thompson, the chief of staff for Oregon governor Victor G. Atiyeh.
