English: An Exhumed river channel is a fossil stream bed, in an inverted form. Deep channel having filled with sands turned to sandstone in a bed of mudstone. Later events errode the softer mudstone, revealing portions of the bas relief-like inverted sandstone 'river bed sculpture'.
