Place here photographs relating to temporary exhibitions in Singapore.
Three-dimensional works. In accordance with Singapore copyright law, please only upload photographs taken by you personally of sculptures or other three-dimensional artworks if:
- the works are not copyrightable;
- the copyrights in the works have expired (see "Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Singapore");
- you own the copyrights in the works; or
- the copyrights in the works are owned by other persons, but those persons have agreed to license the copyrights under a free licence and you have e-mailed their consent to permissions-commonswikimedia.org for OTRS verification.
Do not upload photographs of works displayed during temporary exhibitions unless they are no longer subject to copyright, because freedom of panorama in Singapore does not apply to works on temporary display. For more information, see "COM:CRT/Singapore#Freedom of panorama".
If the photographs were not taken by you, you will need to obtain the consents of the photographers and send them for OTRS verification as indicated above. For help, please leave a message at "Commons:Village pump/Copyright".
Two-dimensional works. You may only upload photographs of drawings, engravings, paintings and other two-dimensional works on display if the copyrights in them have expired, or if the artists have agreed to license the copyrights under free licences. Do not upload copyrighted two-dimensional works, whether or not they are on permanent display, as freedom of panorama in Singapore does not cover such works.
De minimis. It may be permissible to upload photographs showing copyrighted artworks on display if the artworks are de minimis, that is, in the background and not the focus of the photograph. If in doubt, please ask for advice at "Commons:Village pump/Copyright". |
