Эрнст-Рихард Карлович Нирнзее, московский архитектор

Ernst Richard Nirnsee, Moscow architect of 1900-1914, notable for the first skyscrapers of Moscow (called cloud cutters in his time). Despite high profile of his buildings, his biography remains virtually unknown, even the years of birth and death. An opportunistic businessman, he used all kinds of exterior styling, from Belgian Art Nouveau to Russian Revival.
