English: Elizabeth Van Horne Clarkson (1771-1852), American quiltmaker. She was the daughter of Augustus Van Horne (1736–1796) and married Thomas Streatfield Clarkson (1763-1844); Thomas Streatfield Clarkson II (1799–1873) was her son and Thomas Streatfield Clarkson III (1837–1894) — her grandson. The Clarkson College/University was established in the memory of Thomas Streatfield Clarkson III by his three sisters.
