Elizabeth Seymour (née Percy), Duchess of Somerset (1667-1722), Heiress; wife of 6th Duke of Somerset. Daughter and heir of Joceline Percy, 11th Earl of Northumberland, and Elizabeth Wriothesley. Considered to be one of the richest heiresses in England she married three times. The first two marriages were terminated by her husbands' deaths: she married Henry Cavendish, styled Earl of Ogle, in 1680 and Thomas Thynne of Longleat in 1681. Her third marriage was to Charles Seymour, 6th Earl of Somerset in 1682. The Duchess of Somerset , who was Groomess of the Stool to Queen Anne, died in 1722.
