Electrician and Mechanic was an American science and technology magazine founded in 1890 as Bubier's Popular Electrician. In July 1906 it became Electrician and Mechanic and was published under that name through December 1913. Its name then became Modern Electrics and Mechanics (January–June, 1914), Popular Electricity and Modern Mechanics (July–December 1914), Modern Mechanics (January–March 1915), and The World's Advance (April–September 1915).
With the October 1915 issue, the magazine was called Popular Science Monthly after the rights had been purchased from the original owner. Popular Science magazine continues publishing today.
