English: Dumbarton United Methodist Church is located at 3133 Dumbarton Street NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The congregation was founded in 1772 as the Montgomery Street Church. Nearby Mount Zion United Methodist Church was formed in 1814 after 125 members left Montgomery Street Church. Both congregations used Mount Zion Cemetery as a burial site for members. The present church building was constructed in 1850 and remodeled in 1897, which added the Romanesque Revival façade. The building is a contributing property to the Georgetown Historic District.
