Donald Rumsfeld (July 9, 1932 - June 29, 2021) was the 21st Secretary of Defense of the United States, from January 20, 2001 through December 18, 2006, under President George W. Bush. He was also the 13th Secretary of Defense from 1975 to 1977 under President Gerald Ford. This makes him both the oldest as well as the youngest person to have held the position
