- atrophy of hindleg muscles, especially in the thighs (in relation to the overall condition of the dog)
- narrow stance of hindquarters when standing
- tense, crouching or braced posture when standing or moving about
- shortened hindleg step
- concerned or stressed facial expression, panting
- calluses from excessive rest on hard or abrasive surfaces.
