English: Dixon's Chimney is the chimney of Shaddon Mill, Shaddongate, Carlisle, Cumbria. Dixon's Chimney and Shaddon Mill were built for Peter Dixon in 1836. Originally it was 305 ft tall, but damaged by lightning in 1931 and was shortened to 290 ft in 1950.
