This site has roots in a Gupta Empire era monument. During excavations that revealed this brick platform, several Gupta and post-Gupta era statues, temple parts and Hindu artwork were found. Of particular note were two statues of Vishnu, one of Balarama, one Saraswati, one Shiva and fragments of amorous couple scene. They were on display in open for years. After the theft of one statue, all items were moved to Indian museums such as the Rani Durgawati Museum in Jabalpur.

The site can be dated to Gupta and post-Gupta era (c. 7th-century) based on the brick style and artwork.
