Thanks to the great amount of dinosaur fossil (especially skeletons of the same genus), scientist have been able to determine how fast these reptiles grew, and how they changed as they became older. This includes genera such as Tyrannosaurus (Erickson et.al, 2004), Apatosaurus (Erickson, 2001) and Hypacrosaurus (Horner & Cooper, 2008).
