English: "Court housing" here refers to a type of high density common in Hull (roughly from around 1900s) housing consisting of short facing rows of terraced houses built at right angles to a street, and connected to the street by an alleyway. Small front gardens, and rear yards are typical.

Note the courts have individual street names, not usually 'court', 'grove' is common
