The Western Columned Street had shops along its side. It is the west branch of a west-east road, crossing the main street slightly before the Nymphaeum of Hadrian. It has been excavated at a surprising speed, each year showing more, since roughly the early 2010's. After a series of shops, one passes underneath a sort of half-way gate (probably an aqueduct that runs there). Next there is a sports space (Palaestra and Gymnasium) to the right and a bit farther the Northern Bath on the left. At the end of the street to its left there is a Fountain (of Caracalla), then one leaves town through a city gate. Shortly after there is an area that is called the Western Necropolis.
