The former Clarence Hotel, 30–31 North Street, Brighton, East Sussex, England, was built in 1785 as a coaching inn called The New Inn. It was renamed the Clarence Hotel in 1830 after the newly crowned King William IV, who had been known as the Duke of Clarence. After its closure in 1972 it was converted into a mixed-use building called Clarence House.
