English: The church was built in 1954, designed by Charles Powell and built by A.J. Cross. This church replaced a tin chapel that was built in 1890 and demolished to make way from the new church. The church is in the gothic style and built using concrete. The church was renovated in the late 1980s under the supervision of the architect John P. Delaney.
