English: Chinchilla cats are almost pure white Persian cats with a sprinkling of darker coloured tipping/shell that gives them a sparkling metallic appearance. The chinchilla should have a tiny amount of darker coloured tipping on the face and legs. Chinchillas only have their hair tips coloured (approx. 1/8 of the hair length), and are significantly lighter in overall color than the ones with silver shaded coats where 1/3 of the hair length is coloured (see: Black silver chinchilla Persian cats vs. Black silver shaded Persian cats). Most common is the black silver chinchilla coat, but also golden chinchilla coats exist.
