Chimaki are rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo leaves. They are eaten on the fifth day of the fifth month (Boys Day). That's the japanese version of the chinese zongzi. The vietnamese version, is called bánh ú or bánh gio. There are both eat in fifth day on fifth month, but still on the chinese calendar. The japanese moved the festival to the European calendar. Koreans still keep chinese calendar to this festival too.
