Charles DIDIER, born in 1852 at Raon-l'Étape, placed at the age of fourteen as an apprentice at JAQUOT-JEANPIERRE in Rambervillers, was first associated in 1879 to 1894 to Théodore JAQUOT under the name "JAQUOT-JEANPIERRE et Cie". Then he installs himself by adding the name of his wife (Louise Van Caster) to his own to differentiate from other organ builders named Didier with whom he is not related.
