English: The Château de la Muette in the Fôret de Saint-Germain-en-Laye was a French Renaissance royal hunting pavilion, built to designs of Pierre Chambiges beginning in 1542. It had already fallen into ruin by c. 1650, when it was engraved by Israël Silvestre.
