Castle Eaton is a small village in the northern most part of Wiltshire, close to the Gloucestershire border. Nestling on the banks of the fledgling River Thames and home to the Red Lion, reputedly the first pub on the River Thames, a large part of the village has been recognised as a Conservation Area in recognition of its historical and architectural importance.
