- English: Caryatids (columns in the shape of women) are 420 ca. BC statues by Alcamenes on the porch of the Erechtheion (Athens, Greece).
Note: since 1977, cement casts replaced the originals, in order to protect them from air pollution and corrosion. The originals are now on display in the Acropolis New Museum, except one which is at the British Museum in London. Please put post-1977 images into the Category:Replicas of the Caryatids in situ at the Erechtheum.
- Français : Ces caryatides (colonnes sculptées en forme de femmes) sont des statues datant d'environ 420 av. J.-C. sculptées par Alcamène et situées sur le porche de l'Erechtheion d'Athènes, en Grèce. Note : depuis 1977, des moulages en ciment ont remplacé les originaux, pour les protéger de la pollution et de la corrosion. Les originaux se trouvent désormais exposés dans le Nouveau musée de l'Acropole, sauf une qui se trouve au British Museum à Londres au Royaume-Uni.
