Built in 1956 as the Medical Arts Office Building, this modern-style building at 16 East Gorham Street in Madison, Wisconsin, has been repurposed as the Calimar Apartments. (See the Property Record online.)

It features a buff brick exterior with a front curtain wall with ribbons of windows in the central bays with spandrel panels and mullions framing them, two narrower bays towards the ends of the front facade, with rustic stone accent walls between the outer windows and central window bays, a suspended canopy over the front entrance, a low-slope roof, a central stair hall that provides access to the building’s three floors, relatively simple facades to the side and rear, and wing walls at the ends of the front facade.

The building is a noncontributing structure in the Mansion Hill Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
