The white marble Bust of Queen Victoria by Frances Darlington was created between 1901 and 1902, and was unveiled in Morley Town Hall around 1903. The legend carved on its integral plinth says, "1837 Regina 1901 / Victoria / Imperatrix" (Empress Victoria, Queen 1837–1901). It stands in a tall niche which may have been created for a standing-figure sculpture, so the bust had to be raised on a re-used coloured-marble plinth, on which is engraved, "1897 Jubilee". The coloured plinth is not by Darlington. As of 2024, Morley Town Hall was not open to the public, unless by appointment.

Note: Re images of this sculpture by Storye book. In real life, this portrait is strikingly realistic. Please do not overwrite these photographs, because if you lighten them or increase contrast, you lose the lifelike appearance. If you wish to change my photographs in any way, please upload your new versions onto new filepages, and acknowledge the originals. Thank you. Storye book (talk) 09:24, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
