English: British Rail put D6969 into service in February 1965. It was renumbered 37269 in February 1974 then rebuilt and renumbered 37417 in November 1985. It was named Highland Region from December 1985 until August 1998 when it was renamed Rail Magazine. These nameplates were removed in December 1999 but it was then carried the name Richard Trevithick from February 2003 until it was withdrawn in 2010.
