Information about the vessel may be found at IMO 5048485. A ship can change name and flag state through time, but the IMO number remains the same through the hull's entire lifetime. As a result, it can be useful to identify a ship by using the IMO number. |
English: s/s Bore, launched 1960, was the first car ferry on the route between Finland and Sweden and the last commercial steamship built in Scandinavia. She was built for the route between Turku and Stockholm on Oskarshamns Varv AB and served the route for Ångfartygs AB Bore until 1977. 1987–2010 she was a cruise ship for Kotka based Kristina Cruises (originally Kotkan Rannikkolinjat) under the name of m/s Kristina Regina. The original steam engine was replaced by diesel engines before entering this service. 2010 the old name and painting was restored and she returned to Turku, to serve as museum ship, hostel and hotel.
Svenska: S/S Bore
