English: Boasson and Eggler, St. Petersburg, Nevsky 24.
In 1902, Swiss photographer Frederick Boasson and his German companion Fritz Eggler bought the studio of the famous court photographer Pasetti in St. Petersburg. Soon they became favorite photographers of the Imperial family and St. Petersburg aristocracy. They were among the first who introduced a new service: taking portrait pictures at clients' homes.
