Battle of Tukaroi (1575)
English: After the capture of Patna, Akbar had returned to Delhi and entrusted Munʿim Khan with the further conquest of Bengal. Da'ud had fled to Odisha . However, having received news of the fatigue of the opposing troops, Da'ud ventured a powerful offensive on 3 March 1575 at Tukaroi, which lies about 40 km south of Medinipur. Khankhanan Munʿim Khan was in the Battle of Tukaroi against Da'ud on March 3, 1575. – Munʿim Khan was surprised by the unexpectedly quick attack and was wounded, but after initial successes for Da'ud, Todar Mal managed to repel the enemy through his courageous intervention. The news of the death of their general Gujar Khan finally caused the Bengalis to flee, pursued by the Mughals "with drawn swords".
