English: Balrothery refers to one of two baronies of Ireland. They are Balrothery East and Balrothery West. Originally part of the Lordship of Meath, they were constituted as part of the old county of Dublin. Today, they lie in the modern county of Fingal. The eponymous town of Balrothery lies in the eastern barony. The name Balrothery comes from the Irish Baile an Ridire (meaning Town of the Knight) or Baile Ruaderai.
