    • Nambokucho period: 1333–1392
  • Azuchi-Momoyama period: 1573–1603
  • Edo period: 1603–1868
    • Kan'ei era: 1624–1644
  • Modern period: 1868–present
    • Prewar period: 1868–1945
      • Meiji era: 1868–1912
      • Taishō era: 1912–1926
    • Shōwa era: 1926–1989
    • Postwar period: 1945–present
